Shipping out

Post by NeverSayDie »

FINALLY shipping out tomorrow. Its been a long wait, but it's been worth it. Thank you, all of you, for letting me learn from you. Especially Ranger Goon175, Ranger Lunch, and most of all Ranger Ingraham. I'm humbled by how much effort you've invested into helping me prepare myself. I'll be writing Ranger Ingraham regularly, and I'm sure he'll keep ya'll updated. Not much else to say, time to earn my shit.

Saw him off to the plane. Heard from him tonight--he's frustrated, like all the other recruits, with the 'hurry-up & wait' game at reception.

He's doing it the hard way, no opt-40, just going to earn his RASP slot.

Hey Rangers!

Its still ringing true in my ears now, and its family day. There are no words to express how much I hate Big Army. The standards here are lower here than they where in ROTC. Our 1SG and DS's where some of the best in the brigade, but they have their hands tied by TSP's and the attitudes of the other privates here had me damn near ready to hit people.

Stay motivated and just use it as fuel to get you to your goal.
