Hello fellow Rangers!
I served in the 2d Ranger Battalion, from 1976 to 1980, and then again from 1984 to 1988. During that time I rubbed shoulders with some of the most professional, selfless, capable men, both enlisted and commissioned, that I will ever know. It feels good to be back in touch. RLTW!

Re: Prior Ranger time
Thanks!
It looks like we were at Bragg about the same time, 1969-1971, but I was assigned to the 82d Signal Battalion on the back side of post. The military, as a whole, wasn't impressing me much back then, but then nobody was talking Special Ops either. If I had just wondered down the street, to SF, things might have developed earlier than they did. All in all, the path that took me to 2/75 was a life lesson.
Thanks for the welcome!

Thank you Slowpoke, I appreciate the welcome. Looking at all of the years of jump status that you have, your medical record must be HUGE! Good job!

Re: Intro
Thanks for the welcome PxRanger. So you're here in the great state of Michigan huh. Hope it's further North, cause there's not much going on down here.
If the Ranger Paniagua, that you're quoting, is the Paniagua I remember, he had a brand new short-bed Lil Red Truck back in those days. Does that ring a bell?
Had a friend who worked in Charlie supply, named Ranger Wade. Big strong man, who's road bike I bought after he raced a commissioned type into the ditch one summer, on the back Ft. Lewis roads. May have been earlier, those days are kind of blending together any more.
Thanks again Ranger

Thank you both, garyedolan and Lunch, for the warm welcome. Merry Christmas to both of you and your families.
Ranger Dolan, congratulations on induction into the Ranger Hall of Fame. Not an easy accomplishment is it! I see that you have had the additional honor of working with another inductee, RV (Ranger Voyles). I served under him in 2/75, a couple of times, and learned a few things that are still part of my personal education in character. Great man! Excellent soldier!
Lunch, if I am able to attend the next link-up, I hope to meet you there. Your accompanying photo brings back some ugly memories. That was a tough position to hold, believe me :)
Thanks again.

Hey Lunch, that just won't do! Where is the best place on this site to join in? As for attending one of those link-ups, that sounds like a go once I get the Yukon's shocks fixed. Blew them out towing a trailer from Utah. I have a very good lady friend who grew up, and regularly visits, around the Fairmont MN area. She really likes the area. Keep me posted.
