excerpt
I ship for OSUT with a follow-on to Jump School on 20110726. I was told that, if I was a PT stud and a good leader, there was a small chance I could go to Ranger School while I was still at FT Benning. If I am offered this golden opportunity, I will take it. If not, I plan put in for Ranger School at a later date.
Me thinks you are confusing going to RASP & Ranger School - they are two different items.

Nevertheless, welcome - head down to: Recruiters and Schools - Q&A & read.

I've upgraded your title to: Future Soldier. If you get Opt 40 added to your contract & let me know via PM if I do not notice your post on the board.

If he is in the NG he is definately not going to RASP.

Ranger goon175, I have heard of a NG unit here in TX that has sent its members to Ranger School. However, they were officers.

And just to clarify, is RASP only for enlisted or is it required for all prospective ranger school candidates?

if you do some research you'll discover what the two are about.

yes there is/are a unit/units in TX that send soldiers to Ranger school, and not just officers. you could research that too, if it's a path you're interested in.
