Rangers,

Not meaning to hijack, but since we're on the topic of rucking...

I'm buying an ALICE to practice up rucking before I commission and (ADSOing for) IOBC, RS etc. I'm lifting a lot, running too; but figured I'd get your advice on this:

(I understand rucking is it's own beast but...)
Other than rucking, what would you recommend to get my legs in tip-top shape for the long rucks ahead? Some friends said stair steppers with weight or rucking up and down stairs would work (Where I am is basically flat all around). Would you recommend rucking for distance or time while adding weight every week?

I would do regular PT, because rucking honestly is just having a set and doing the goddamn job. Break yourself while on the army dime so the army has to fix it.

Thanks Ranger RSOV,

I guess it would be better to go into the Army as pain free as possible. I'm sure they'll break me plenty during my time.
