Dr. Thomas Barnett is an adviser to the pentagon. He wants to split up the DoD into two separate departments, changing the Chain of Command that our Military uses. He explains the reasons he wants to do this in the link above.

He makes enough sense to me, but I'm not even a DEP yet so I wont pretend to know how our Command Structure should be organized... The speech was made In 2007, If anyone knows if any part of his plans have been/will be implemented please let us know.
