Introduction: Matt

Post by me112307 »

Hello Rangers, serviceman/women, and everyone else who frequents this board. My name is Matt and I have recently enlisted in the US Army. I enlisted as a 74D CBRN Specialist. Due to a few medical waivers I had to receive I was unable to obtain a airborne slot and was therefore unable to obtain a OPT 40 contract. I am hoping to volunteer Airborne upon attendance at AIT, and then volunteer Ranger while attending Airborne training.

I will be attending BCT on 10 Oct 2009 and will then have Christmas Exodus off before returning to Fort Leonard Wood to finish my job training.

Some background is I am 23 years old and hold two college degrees, an Associates in Aviation Flight and a Bachelors in Aviation Management with a minor in Marketing. I almost joined the ROTC out of high school but chose not to and have now decided to go through with the process and join the Army.

I am hoping to someday soon join the Rangers but if for some unforeseen reason I am unable to, I look forward to simply learning from and listening to some of the best soldiers on this planet.

Thank you,
Matt

PS I know I know.....I'm off to do push ups! :)
