Intro...In the correct forum
As I have shot myself in the foot as soon as I registered for this site by posting my intro in the wrong section, I will post again, with all apoligies for doing something that will do nothing but hinder me...My name is Justin, I am 26 years old, from North Kingstown, Rhode Island. I have recently have joined the Rhode Island Army guard as an ocs candidate. I will be attending basic in September. In all honesty, this is the third time that I applied to ocs, as I was rejected twice before in active, so I went to the guard. However, this is what I wanted to do for a career, and I would have exhausted all of my options until I met my goal. I have a bachelors in history, but that basically means nothing in the civilian world as I have found out. I am currently a flight instructor in Rhode Island, and I hope to become an Army aviator. I will strive make the most out of my position that I hope to attain. That having been said; I want to make it known that while I have not so much as attended basic training, and that I will most likely never become a Ranger because of my chosen path and hopeful duty assignment, I have the utmost respect for what you do or have done as Rangers in the U.S. Army. I came upon this site by accident, but through perusing these boards , I have already obtained a wealthful of knowledge and information that an Army newbie could collect in terms of respect, honor, and dignity. I apoligize for my long-winded introduction, and I probably won't post much, but I owe this website alot for keeping me motivated to join the Army, and doing something worthwhile with my life.

I do not consider your post as being long-winded. I think your post is well articulated and a joy to read. I can't wait for the next chapter!

Oh ok, if I am not mistaken I belive that MP's go there, Im sure a few others do as well.RhodyOcs wrote:Thank you for the welcome. Blacksrt4, I'll be attending basic at Leonard Wood. I'm not really sure as to the reason why I'm being sent there, as I've heard that LW is usually specified for a certain few MOS's, but it in the end, it'll accomplish the same thing.
