Introduction

Post by BullClowns »

Rangers,

First of all thanks for the add. My name is Matthew and I am 22 years old. I am a recent graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in History. I was a member of the Army ROTC program there for four years and recieved my commission in May 2008. I branched Infantry with a first duty assignment to Hawaii (we will see if that changes at all once I get to OBC). I am serving as a recruitment officer at my university for now until I leave for training. I head to Ft Sill on 02NOV for BOLC II then to FT Benning 11JAN for Infantry BOLC. I graduate in APR and then hopefully start Ranger School in early May after the Best Ranger Competition is over.

I am on the site looking to gain more information into the world of the Rangers. I plan on sending in a packet to the Regiment once I make 1LT. I have been becoming more and more excited about the possibility of become a Ranger as of late. The idea of leading the best is something that really excites me. I am here to listen, I am here to learn.

Welcome to the site, Sir. I look forward to seeing your title changed to 'Ranger' in the future. Good luck in your military career whereever you end up serving.
