I have been a CRKT fan since around 2000. They are simple, durable and cheap enough to replace.

X2!

The wife got me this knife last year and it's now my daily carry. Super sharp and always quick to open.

I have lost one of the little screws that keeps the clip on though! :(
CRKT will replace parts free of charge.

Ranger's,

Thank you for your input, whether for CRKT or for another brand. I've ordered an M16-14SF to be my new folder. I had the chance to use an M21-14SF and was highly impressed, so I've decided to go with the M16 based on its design versus the M21's.

Ranger's,

I picked up the knife from the dealer earlier today. Solidly built, very sharp, and I'm getting used to the safety on it. Still taking some practice closing it, but I'm very happy with my purchase. The flat black finish looks like it'll hold up well and I cut some rope with it earlier and it's just a good knife. For less than $100, I couldn't have made a better choice.

Thank you Ranger RLTW375 for your recommendation of the M16 model.

Ranger EvilCouch, I'll keep that in mind about CRKT's customer service.

They run around $40-$60 Money well spent in my book.
I have this exact same knife. However, I took the pocket clip and mounted it on the OTHER end of the knife. Now the two thumb points on the hilt, ride in my pocket. When I draw the knife out of my pocket now, it opens automatically.

I have an Emerson Combat Commander that I paid 200 bucks for. It has the "wave" feature on the top of the blade, that essentially does the same thing. I paid 30 bucks for this knife at MacDill BX, and I actually like it BETTER than my Emerson.

Try putting the pocket clip on the other other end... and when you slide your thumb down along side it in your pocket, grasp the knife, and pull it out, toward the rear of you... the blade will snap open, because the thumb thingies grab on your pocket.

The only issue I have is that the little screws come loose. I just added some locktite to them, and torqued them down. No more issues.

Blade is tough, very well balanced... and holds a very good edge.
