Rangers, Vets, and all board members,

Just wanted to introduce myself and thank you for offering such a great resource to young officers, NCOs, and soldiers alike. Im currently a 2LT in the PAANG. I have lurked on this board for a few years as a cadet and am now trying to use this as a tool to gain as much knowledge and information as possible. Im a 19A serving in an Infantry company. Im slotted to be an MGS Platoon leader, however, due to equipment shortages and the usual political games in the army, Im serving as a sorta "bastard" platoon leader. Im in charge of a supply section, a mortar section, a small sniper section, the remnants of an MGS platoon, and Im currently in the process of forming a company level intel fusion cell. I look forward to be able to use this as a tool to prepare the guys I have for any mission we might get overseas. Thanks in advance for all the help.

CALL has some good stuff about company level fusions cells. It's not public knowledge so don't discuss on this board.

Welcome...
CALL also has a lot of information about Stryker; both operational and system-specific lessons learned.

Testedone, yes, I'm part of the Stryker unit in PA. My batt. is located primarily outside of Philly, but there are other units scattered all over the state.

Ranger Silverback, roger on using CALL. Ive used them before and totally overlooked them on this subject. I appreciate it

Welcome, LT. Nothing wrong with being a bastard leading a bunch of bastards. It may well be the best job you ever have.

Hey sir,

Welcome to the board. Are you part of the 56th SBCT?

If so, I will be seeing you and your entire brigade here at the FOB on Fort Dix in roughly September after you guys get through with your 'stuff' at Camp Shelby. I think you know what I mean!

Roger, Im part of the 56th, but your dates for us are off. We're slotted to be at Shelby for the back half of Sept and all of Oct, then we have a rotation at JRTC. We're not scheduled to be at Dix till December. Don't get me started on Shelby.....

Ahh, okay I see. We have a major ramp up here in Sep, so I just assumed that it was you guys included. We'll be jammed to max capacity between September and January, so you guys will have a crowded stay here! Stop in at the FOB aid station when you have the occasion and say hey! I'll be the only E-5 here.
