Junk Mileage
I've started running again. I have found it keeps me in a better mood and I am less prone to fits of boredom. Check out the link at the bottom. I actually started running in June but I have only recently started logging my mileage.

Pretty cool. I am sure it helps to keep track and see what you are doing.
I need to get back to exercising after my sinus surgery.

After mountain bike riding and speed hiking for over a year the vaginitis in my knees cleared up and I started trail running mixed in with the mountain biking and hiking. My running isn't pretty, but I feel a lot better and my allergies are not as severe. Most of my running takes place on a gravel Forest Service with a elevation gain of 1000' over 2.5 miles. At the 2.5 mile mark the A.T. crosses the road and I can follow it for an additional elevation gain of 619' over a .5 miles or so. At this point I am at 4019' above sea level. The A.T. pretty much follows the TVD through my area.

Good for you for logging your results. Maintaining a log allows for tracking progress and setting goals, and having a plan for every session, whether for running or toher exercse.

It's hard to keep the speed down(No I am not saying I am fast) but it's worth it.Tenn-RGR wrote:This is why I love HR training.Silverback wrote:Updated my log. This morning I decided to maintain a mid HR and I ended up increasing my mileage but 25% (5 miles). It felt good and I wasn't smoked at the end.

The intent of my workouts is to increase my CV fitness. The beauty is that if you train smart the improvement will happen naturally. It absolutely sucks to run at 14 minutes a mile, but so far...so good!Prodigy922 wrote:Shit. I need to do something like this. Just need to figure how how to incorporate such good running schedules into my pushup situp and pullup improvements as well. I've got my 2 mile down to 12:59 though.
