Introduction

Post by Cobrahood »

Hey everybody and thanks for accepting me into your community.

My name is Matt, 20yrs old and I am a Specialist and have been in the Army for about 2.5 years now. I am stationed with the 224 MI BN out of Hunter AAF, GA but I have inspirations to become a Ranger. I reenlisted this past month for another 4 more exciting years. I currently have an Airborne date on 25 Apr and a RIP date on 27 May 2008. I am looking forward to becoming a member of the team and appreciate any guidance given as it pertains to my training or soon to be battalion life. And thank you again for accepting me into your online community.

Welcome.....I hope your inspirations come true, but unless you're an absolute PT STUD in your MI BN, I doubt it's going to happen.

Good luck to you.

Why the fuck didn't you become a Ranger in the first place?

By the way, your screen name is a little on the gay side. I'm forcasting that 3rd Battalion is in your future

Look kid, Take my comments with a grain of salt...

Your first post ("Hey everybody and thanks for accepting me into your community...") is a little overbearing for a SPC, hmmm? That's like walking into the First Sergant's office, drinking out of his coffee cup and surfing porn on his computer. ("Hey, I'll just make myself at home!!!)

We'll all look past that - since you're a vet and all, and our rules for vets are a little more informal than for others.

But, I take some umbrage (look it up) when your instant reply to Ranger Steadfast was like something that you'd send to your favorite Uncle... It took you a whole two minutes to flippantly respond that you've already done what he suggested. Since he's only been a Ranger combat veteran for 38 or so years I can see why you'd give him only two minutes to digest what he said.

Relax. Search. The answers are already there. Hell, we've got DEPs that already have some of the answers.

Welcome.

Thanks everybody for taking the time to drop a warm welcome, I appreciate all the constructive criticism. I'm still young in the army and I haven't been in for very long but I will do my best to help new soldiers out with any questions they may have. Thanks again guys!
