Introduction

Post by Joshua »

Hi

My name is Joshua. I am 44 years old and am neither an American nor a Ranger. However I did serve in the SADF (South African Defence Force) in the early 1980's up to 1989.

I was a qualified member of 1 Parachute Battalion and Pathfinder Platoon. Later I was a member of 44 Parachute Brigade Pathfinder Company. I am Army static line and free-fall qualified

I did military tours in Angola and SWA

I am presently doing research on the SADF Pathfinders, and was hoping to come to know the Rangers better, on how they think and do things.

I will update my personal info the moment I figured out how the site work

Cheers

Welcome Joshua - as there is no editing allowed in the Intro sections, the best way to update your info is by making a follow up post in THIS thread.

Also, as you are a veteran I am moving your intro out of the civilian intro section.

Thanks Rangers
I have updated my profile to give some more info.

Do not expect to hear a lot from me in the beginning. Let me first come to know you so that I will understand my place.

If there is any info still required please ask.

Welcome! This is a site I'm sure you'll enjoy. And congrats to the Springboks on their mighty win in November.

Thanks. The Springboks was the best team on the day and deserved the win. It was nice to smear the Brits noses in the mud.
