Rangers and DEPs,

I have successfully come out of MEPS alive and have secured my Option 40 11X contract! Was able to get in a reservation the day before heading to MEPS so there was no negotiations to be made (read: quick and painless). Have also received a $25,000 enlistment bonus along with the Army College Fund and MGIB.

As of right now I will ship from the MEPS Nashville to Ft. Benning, GA for OSUT on 20080130 and will continue into Basic Airborne Training 20080519 after successful completion of OSUT, and then sometime after BAT begin RIP.

The information on this site was indispensable. Without it I surely would of been like a fish out of water. My success from here on out is totally in my control and I look forward to meeting the challenge!

Time to step up your training a notch.
You can forget about holiday eating and partying.
These scores are fine for OSUT and probabbly even for BAT but you will get kicked in the nuts at RIP with scores like these.
Better to laser focus now on your goals now than to be tetering on the edge when you do your RIP APFT.

edited to add: RIP will be a kick in the nuts anyways, but it will be far easier to negotiate the course when your PT score is over 300. Congratulations and make your own luck, NEVER QUIT!!!
