Introduction
Rangers,
My name is Dan, and I am 23 years old. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2006, and am currently working as a Design Engineer. I have enlisted with an 11x Option 40 contract, and I ship on January 3rd, 2008.
In the past year, I have acquired a greater appreciation for my parents and the sacrifices they have made for me. It was their hard work that provided me with an opportunity to receive a great education and pursue any profession I chose. I have also come to appreciate that my parents aren’t the only ones who have sacrificed to provide me with great opportunities. By enlisting in the Army, I hope to follow the example set by my parents, and give something back to my country.
I chose an Option 40 contract because I want to serve in an environment where a lot is expected of me and standards are high.
I came to ArmyRanger.com to learn as much as I can before I ship, and to begin the process of earning a place in the 75th Ranger Regiment. Rangers, thank you for making this resource available.
PT Scores:
Push-up: 66
Sit-up: 60
2-mile Run: 13:03
Pull-up: 12

Congratulations for enlisting to become an Army Ranger. Read the ROE PM I have sent you. After you do pushups for Ranger Kilted Heathen, do some for me.

I have a great deal of respect for any man who aspires to serve in a war time army. Congrats on your contract.
PT scores look like a nice building block to start from.
Consider requesting a mentor in the appropriate forum.
Welcome to ArmyRanger.com

Prepare yourself young man. Your intro was squared away.
Don't expect everyone to be so civil or you'll be greatly disappointed. In fact, expect Hell to be on it's way.
You get prepared for that, you'll do ok. Carry on.

With that screen name, I figured you for a democrat.
Instead, I found a good intro.
You'll find members of Regiment to be much better educated than the stereotype & a just plain better type of man than what you saw on campus.
Talk is cheap, thank you for acting.
I won't wish you luck, you'll make your own.
