My introduction...
Hello, I love the sight, have for a few years. I'm a 1LT, company FSO in 2-505 PIR currently deployed. I graduated Ranger School class 07-06 30June06.
It's a goal and dream of mine to go to Regiment, the tab is a means to an ends for me. I'm trying my hardest, not sure when/if it'll happen yet.

Welcome, fellow Redleg. I hate to pour cold water on your hopes, but if you are already a 1LT, I doubt you have much chance of getting a team, as you're already half way to captain. I was about to make 1LT when I got recruited down to 1st Batt., so I had 18-24 months in which to perform the job after I got there, depending on how long it took to go between 1LT and CPT. The unit would be looking for at least 12 months from you. If you have that amount of time, then maybe there is a chance. If you're looking to be a battalion FSO, you will probably need to have already been a battalion FSO and have a successful battery command. That said, best of luck with your desire to serve in Regiment. I hope you make it.

Welcome Officer...good to see some grace and sophistication on the board. Its been tough being the only refinement here.

I'm not the way I am because I was a Ranger - I was a Ranger because of the way I am.

If we are talking about the kind of grace, sophistication and refinement that includes the use of KY instead of spit, then yeah Pastor, you bring a heck of a lot of it to the forum :D :D :DAbell9 wrote:j.rico wrote:Do I know you??
