SitRep Airborne Graduation
SitRep Airborne Graduation
Well tommorrow we graduate Airborne School, we were supposed to graduate today but due to weather we were unable to complete 5 jumps in time. I have got my 5 already but some still have to jump tommorrow morning.
The jumps are awsome, nerves are a factor a little bit, but it was just straight up fun. I was the first man out of the plane every jump so it was exciting. It became almost natural by the 5th jump though. We had a quite a few injured this week and im just glad I got through it with no further injury. One delay was definently good enough for me.
Supposedly we go to RIP Tuesday and hopefully start the 20th. If not the next start date is January 8th so we are all hoping we will get in this class. I had a sergeant in our Airborne school give me a PT test, I am still scoring 330 range dropped a little bit but its proably just lack of sleep and continally PLF'ing shakes your body up a little bit. Cant wait to get to RIP still driving on loving shit,
If any of you DEP's or PVT's just finishing Basic, have any questions feel free to PM me I will help in any way I can.

That's great news, Barnett! I can't believe you got to be the doorman on every jump. I was lucky enough to score that slot once in jump school, but five....damn! Somebody's looking out for you. Keep up the great work. You have made it to the most challenging part of your initial training. Do not give in to temptation. Stick with it, no matter how bad it sucks. You can do this. Best of luck to you.

Congrats Barnett,
All the work and determination is almost paying off. Keep up the good work and STAY MOTIVATED, RIP may be the first place you have been to in your short career where they do not care if you are sucking or not, or if you want to quit.
Mental strength will be more important then physical strength when the cadre get you to Cole range.
Practice the knots I told you about and if you have any questions about a WO or Op Order let me know.

Just a quick check-in. We got to RIP hold today, tommorrow 15NOV06 is PT test. If we pass we start on 16NOV06. So no holdover at all for me straight to the game. Looking forward to PT test just had some pasta and gatorade for dinner so got the carbs and will be hydrated. Driving on, will SITREP on RIP whenever I can.
