Educational Grants and Funding Sources

Post by VAK »

You know as we all started going through this, one thing really kind of stood out to me. EDUCATION... We are talking about helping our folks find jobs, helping our folks get better benefits etc. But even with the VA's best benefits, it seems that we can always use more help in getting our education.

My point I think would be that the VA even when re-training you is going to pay "X" amount toward a specific goal. And that is truly fantastic, but in all reality, in todays market we may need more. And what about that portion of our folk's who just want more but cannot afford it? Well, for that portion, here you go. I have attached not only the Government Grant research page but the Public Sector's Foundation Research Page (Which is how I paid for a large portion of my education.)

It is so very much nicer not to owe a mint in Student Loans when you are through with school and there are truly grants out there right now beyond belief. More than when I went to school. This is just the tip of the iceburg when it comes to grant information, but my hope is that it will spark some interest.

This long link is for the Foundation itself. It has a length and width of research you would not imagine. Plus they will send you information as it becomes available.

Here's an interesting funding page. It lists some books available not just on grants but also on other assistance available to help those with disabilities.

Well Campers, here's where I go to sleep for awhile. Good Luck with the reading. I do hope someone finds it of some use. Godspeed,
