On Family Day Pass

Hey all,

I am currently on my Family Day pass before my AIT portion of OSUT begins. To those of you about to leave for OSUT it's really not that hard, more mental than anything. As long as you get a good platoon the Drill Sergeants pretty much leave you alone aside from what they have to teach you. Unfortunatly that's not the case for my platoon. If you end up in a platoon like mine (we're nicknamed the shit list platoon) then be careful and try your best to have your name unknown to the DSs.

The training that you go through here is more fun than anything else. The only thing that I found hard at all here is the road marches and that's really just because of the hills and pure boredom involved. Just pay attention to the classes you're taught and you'll be fine. I would write more but my freedom is almost gone so I have to head back to the barracks. Good luck to all of you about to leave!
