I've seen pics of the French jumping in MOPP Level 4, but I'm still pretty sure jumping with NOD's on your helmet is a no-no.

While I was there (PVS-7s) we wore our nods around our neck when we jumped. With the PVS-14 that is even a more viable option. You just put the cord around your neck, tie a short dummy to your top button hole and tucked the nods inside your shirt and buttoned the top button over them.

When I was there, you kept your NODS on the left shoulder strap of your LBE. It had a red lens and you kept one of the batteries reversed so it wouldn't accidently come on.
