If its not one thing, its another

Post by FireFinder »

So today I had my 12 week post-op appointment with the doc for follow up on my discectomy at L5-S1. Back is doing fine. However, I asked him about some pain in my left wrist that started during a heavy workout on July 4th.

He has me do a few passive resistance things and diagnoses a Triangular Fibrocartilage Complex Injury, and says I need to get seen by a ortho that specializes in hand/shoulder stuff.

I get back to work and googlefu this TFCC thing, and that just sucks. I can't get in to see a specialist before August 3rd. I'm gonna have to go to the ER or Urgent Care tomorrow AM because I don't want this getting worse.

Any med types have experience with this injury?
