Has anyone ever been down rated on re-eval?

Post by rangercamaro »

I was just wondering if anybody in here has ever heard of someone downgraded on their percentage on a REEVAL they initiated?

Maybe Vrsca or SS would be the official ones to ask but maybe someone else knows?

Also does anyone know the process to get a re-eval started.

About 3 months ago, I put in for a re-eval. I'm still waiting to hear when it is scheduled for.

I had to make an appointment with a va guy that comes into town once a week.

I would start with calling your regional office.

I was just talking the other day to my GF about going in to get an eval. Not to get a higher percentage but just to see if there is anything they could do about my problem. The last Dr. i had wanted to do surgery(i didnt trust him)after my original Dr. said dont do it because it could make it worse.(i trusted him)I refused the surgery because the Doc i trusted said it may heal on its own and i was hoping for a comeback tour. Now that thats out the window i could get the surgery and see what happens.I would love to be able to run again!!!!

Has anyone gone back after a long period when surgery was an option and asked to have the surgery post active duty?

Yeah I got ass fucked by the VA. I notified those assholes that I had my shoulder fixed by a civilian doc and wanted my compensation for it. What the fuck did they do? Less than 2 weeks after I filed, some TWN looked at my shoulder, reduced me from 30-20% and won’t pay me my compensation because they said I filed past the deadline! you see if you have to have surgery on service connected injury. VA has to pay you your base pay while you rehab. i was out of the loop for 8 months. that is around $12,000! WHAT FUCKING Deadline I ASKED? I must have missed that part of the motherfucking briefing huh? those godamn cocksucking mother fucking no good fucking ass raping piece's of fucking 8 day old cow shit VA fucks!

I was downgraded once. I followed the appeal process and wrote my own appeal. It took a long time but my percentage was UPgraded in the end and backpay was mailed. Fighting with the VA can be a long process but it can be done.

With each letter the VA sends you included is an appeal process form. Follow that, also become a member of your local DAV. The DAV can help tell you what to do and when.

If you get arrested and go to jail for Felonious Assualt (hitting someone with an object other than your hands) you will forfeit your compensation. (Murder is included in that too).
