Rangers,
Are these knives the real deal or simply for show? has anyone from this website bought one of these knives?
Better be damn near indestructible for these prices.

What I meant to say was, are those knives combat effective? Will they break down if you need them? and can they withstand harsh day to day use conditions?

Oh boy.
Nobody in their right mind would take a knife like that to the field. I doubt any of those knives will cut anything...ever. Go to Walmart, get yourself a $30 Gerber with an action that you like, and when you lose it go get another one.
There are a ton of knife threads on high end useful knives if you want to drop a couple hundred. Search.

I look at it like this.......if you need to pull out a knife to engage your enemy then not only does that suck (cause your primary weapon is down) but it needs to be a very simple, very sharp, very sturdy, big fucking knife.......are those knives "combat effective"? perhaps.....but not in my eyes.....repeat, very simple, very sharp, very sturdy, big fucking knife!
Wielded with serious intent..........

Those knives are using stainless ATS-34 steel. It's not bad. It's a very strong steel, but it's not well known for holding an edge.
So, they're not chunks of pig steel. They're real, usable knives. They're just not the best choice for a utility blade and at a couple grand, they're basically show pieces.
Basically, they're blades that someone can display somewhere and say, "Look at my cool shit." Then when their buddy says "That's not a real knife, it's too pretty" they can slam it through a table and tell their buddy to fuck off.
...and then spend a half hour at a metal grinding getting his blade's edge back.
