Would I be correct in assuming that you will go to Ranger School following IOAC (or whatever they call it this week)? If you are serious, that is the path you need to take.

From what I hear, Ranger school after IOBC (after the new BOLC II) is pretty much a given. I shouldn't have to fight for or chase down a slot. Some IN friends of mine that graduated last year are having to wait a while, but their light units won't even let them report without having completed/die attempting RS.

Times must have changed a lot there. It used to be that the lowest ranking guys in the class, academically speaking, got "branched" Infantry, i.e., had no other choice.dm5 wrote:I had to commit to three more years of active duty (8 total) to make sure I got Infantry.
