Re: Intro
Wow, Welcome H8train1/75. Nice to meet someone of your caliber that has stood watch over those that have suffered above and beyond for all time. Many a tear has come to my eyes as I watched you and your breathen march strak over those who we can not identify. All my friends from the V. A. Hosp in Brooklyn, NY have taken many trips to arlington to pay respects to the unknowns - We all thank you for your service to our country. Thank you.Ranger h8train1/75 wrote:My name is SSG 1/75 Ranger. I arrived at 1st Batt in Oct 1998. I graduated in class 03-99. I was a Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier before I went to R.I.P. Yes I am an import but I came to Battalion as a non-tabbed Spec4. Sorry, about that Old Guard shit big mistake when I came into the Army.

Mistake :? . Seems to me that assignment is an honor, and the mark of great accomplishment. The Tomb of the Unknowns . . . "Where Valor Proudly Sleeps".h8train1/75 wrote:My name is SSG 1/75 Ranger. Rgr H8train1/75 my question was more rhetorical than anything else. But thanks all the same for explaining things.h8train1/75 wrote:When I came to 1st Batt in 98 they didn't think it was so great. I am proud of being a Tomb Guard but the rest of the unit was shit. But being a Tomb Guard helped me out alot when I was a cherry in Battalion. I mean't going to the unit was a mistake not going to the tomb. i just wanted to clear that up. Sorry I should have been more clear on what I was trying to say.
Welcome Ranger H8Train1/75. One of my best friends (RIP) pulled duty at the Tomb in 68 after his return from Nam. Nice to have you join us!
