SUGGESTION
Let's start a relief organization for the people left in the aftermath of the hurricane. I reccomend that we as a group find and donate copius amounts of match grade ammunition in order to assist the LEOs with the looting problem.

The commander of a Kentucky guard unit here for UFL found out yesterday that his mother's neighborhood was wiped out. He asked me to try to find some video footage online. During my quest I came across some footage from a news helicopter showing people looting a store. I couldn't help but wonder why the pilot didn't put his bird on the deck and knock the guy tits over ass with the rotor wash (then maybe get out and 'gently' explain to him that we don't like theiving bastards taking advantage of people especially at a time like this). I've always gotten angry by the bastards that loot. I'd be happy to donate my services to the LEOs.

The shooting incidents, including the shooting of an NOPD stationhouse by two subjects armed with SKS's, coupled with the incidents of vandalism, violence and aggression are absolutely stunning during these times.

A quick thought for those who haven't realized it as yet... We have some of our very own working on these relief efforts. I won't mention one of their names but I've been speaking to him quite often over the past few days in effort to make ensure our efforts were well coordinated. It reminded me-despite the reports of our fantastic media-of what a fantastic job our military (Active Duty, Guard and Reserve Components) are doing each and everyday. Not just abroad beating down the Terrorist Threat but also here at home with a fantastic Relief Effort. One on a scale that has heretofore never been seen in this Nation.

Speaking on the topic of foriegn aide, I would be suprised if any Nations do formally announce (where it would be publically heard) their offers of assistance. Those offers typically come directly to the President and in the case of our Nation are typically refused. For the most part, if it's a CONUS issue-we take care of our own issues. And while I realize that the cost will be tremendous, I would rather not get the help of any of these Nations.

My Prayers are out for the people of this entire region and certainly for this wondrous Nation...

God Bless America.

The only people I've heard of willing to contribute refined oil, water, and aid workers would be Venezuela. And seeing and hearing Chavez's remarks toward our beloved country should hint at the idea that he's attempting to kick the US while she's down and push his socialist agenda.

I am surprised that none of our foreign allies have offered assistance (that I've heard of at least) which is extremely pathetic. We also all know that if any country does help, they expect something in return. Why should we help them? I believe Ranger Morris hit the nail on the head with every point made.

France and Germany have both offered assistance.

About 20 nations have now stepped up and offered aid. Some included are England, France, Germany, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Canada.
