Blood in urine, color is dark red

Post by Steadfast »

This is for one of the Ranger staff of medical on here.

For the last 6 days my urine has a significant amout of blood in it. To the point the urine is a dark red.

Some history.

Suffered total renal failure ten years ago for some medication I was given when I had suffered from Septacimia following two operations to the lower bowels. My renal failure was approx 8 weeks where it healed to the part where the Specialist said I had 10% of my renal function back. That was in 95. By 1997 my creatine # had lowered from over 10.0 to 2.7 where it has stayed steadily between 2.5 and 2.9. During my hospital stay I was catherized. Upon my release scar tissue grew in urethea tract. I have had 10 procedures by cysto- 5 were the laser, 5 were electric scapel. I also have a stint there which was thought to help me but all the scar tissue grew back and through it making it useless. My Dr said I had great recuperating ability but in this case wrong spot. I get many urinary infections but haven't had one since last Aug. My longest span without infection. At this time I was stretched using a # 12. This is how narrow my uretha is. I started on my Leviquan last night. I also started drinking green tea. Tea? yea, I also take coumadin. Had a blood clot and a piece broke off giving me Pulomony Embullism. I go to a nearby hosp to get my INR # determine my correct level of med. I last had my INR # was 3.0 just 1 week ago. The past three weeks prior my INR has been 1.4, 1.6, 2.1 My question is: Is the blood in the urine from an urinary infection or is it possible my INR has jumped too high. I get my INR # checked again next Thursday.

Well I did blood work and supplied Guinness (just kidding) urine for them to analize and send the info to my Doc I see on Tue. Also got my INR done. Was a tad high @ 3.6. The clinic on duty nurse reduced the amount of medication I take and said the few things I did was good. By the time I see my Doc I will have been taking my antibiotic 5 days.

I want you all to know that our Brother, Ranger Busted Kidney sent me his phone # and we talked. He knows his shit. Thank you Busted Kidney. I'll PM you the results after Dr visit.

You people ain't getting rid of me that easily.
