An email from my recruiter "The option 40 designation that you found in your research, applies only to soliders, already in the army, that wish to re-enlist to become rangers. These are designations and requirements that do not apply to you. You are qualified and able to get the guarentee for ranger assignement you seek.
Let me know if you have other questions. "

I am asking this question Kilted Heathen because I got a 66 on my asvab and a 105 on my GT. I read the option 40 requirements on your guys site and it says i need a 110 so scratch that for now. Is an option 40 required for all the routes in choosing an infantry MOS or when my recruiter told me airborne ranger is something different?

Paratrooper CAL,
I addressed this issue with him in the PMs... He seems to have neglected my help. I hope he heeds yours.
