Quite a leap.

I only hope the response is a measured one by those who choose to exercise it and be an example to make those who think otherwise, pause for their concerns. Both thugs and political opponents as well.

I am interested to hear about the plummeting crime rates. That is what will happen....isn't it?

That has been the trend elsewhere. Also, mass shootings here in the US have almost all occurred in gun free zones.

Bit early for that I think. Even if crime rates go down this wont be the stated cause (even if it is). It will be some prison reform or social program money waster lining some progressive's pockets that gets the credit.

As long as there isn't an upward trend in wrongful death or accidental shootings I think it's a decent law.

It remains to be seen whether civilians will get the same leeway as LEO's in court. That is not to say that LEO's have it easy. However, shootings by cops are investigated by other cops. All of whom are well aware of the day-to-day situation that officers face. If an Officer has a bad shoot he may be fired or (less likely) go to jail for manslaughter. If a civilian has a bad shoot he's going to jail.

The law was enacted through the proper process according to the State Constitution and rights weren't stripped by some Executive Order. So far I like it.

About the "gun free zone" remark...glad you are using the talking points. Wouldn't want to stretch out your thinking muscles. The gun free argument is ridiculous for both the left and the right! Somewhere in the middle lies the truth.

I'm more interested in the alleged correlation between ADHD drugs and the mass shootings.

The GOP never fails to spotlight any non-caucasoid who supports their view. I reckon feigned integration is better than no integration.

In what way was that article racially motivated? Are you saying the only reason that Sherriffs viewpoint was highlighted was because he's black?

I think you're reading way too much into this. The Blaze is Lib/Con and they have an agenda (like all media). In this case I fail to see the "Race" angle. I see a LEO that agrees with the agenda of the editorial staff.
