Ranger,

Burns got recycled to my class during his 3rd week after Cole Range. We start in two weeks and I'm excited to start what I joined the army for. I will post a sitrep again soon.

Keep Burns motivated! I wouldn't imagine recycling much fun.

Rangers,

I apologize for the delay. A lot has happened since I last posted a SITREP. Cole Range sucked. It's one of those things that sucks a whole lot in the moment, but in hindsight it was easy. Just don't quit. The first week went well aside from me failing my pt test and history test. I tired out way too quickly for push-ups and got 49, for the pt test to class up, I got 66. For history, I studied a lot more and made sure I knew everything I needed to, and crushed it. Failing a pt test won't be an issue again. I know I can meet the standard. Being smoked shouldn't be an excuse for failure, you should be able to meet the Ranger standard anytime and anywhere. I'm working hard to make sure I make myself better everyday. At Cole range, I made some really simple mistakes during land nav that screwed me in the end. I can't comprehend how I did so bad because I normally do fairly well with land nav. I got 5/20 points. It's unacceptable. The way it's looking, I will most likely be recycled for it. If I get recycled, it will suck yes, but it will give me the opportunity to blow everything out of the water this time around. The way I look at it is, in life sometimes you have to fail before you succeed. Now I know what I need to work on and I know I'll be ready for it when the time comes. There's only one way I'm leaving here, and that's with a tan beret and scroll. I'll post another SITREP sometime next week.

Rangers,

My brother, otters and I were all recycled. We start again in a few weeks. I know what I did wrong and I'm ready to crush it this next time around.

Keep a positive attitude. You're still in it. Use your down time to do some PT and be ready for round 2. Stay focused on your goal... what happened is behind you.

Guy who classed up with me was recycled on graduation day because he was late to a formation. He gutted it out, re-did all of it, and came out successful. Failure can happen and how you respond to it is always what matters.

Rangers,

I am happy to say that I completed Cole Range again with 13 land nav points this time around. I improved a lot from the last time. Otterse took a med drop, wyvernrider failed his week 6 pt test and asked the cadre to give him the rep so he can pass, and I believe he will either be recycled or dropped. I will post another sitrep soon.

I imagine that would be an immediate integrity violation and he will be dropped. How stupid can you be asking the cadre to lie for you.

Ranger Jim,

My brother classes up later this month with around 58 people. I started phase two today and we have the 12 mile ruck on Friday and final pt test on Monday. I am confident and have been working my ass off for this pt test. We did the 10 mile ruck last Friday and I got 2:03. I'll post a sitrep again next week.

Rangers,

I passed my final pt test this week. We begin week 7 next week and we should be getting our assignments. My brother starts again on Tuesday as well. I'm sure it'll be a motivation boost when he sees me with my tan beret when he gets back from Cole range. I am looking toward to what lies ahead.
