Get rid of the RLTW in your screen name. That is reserved for those that have earned it. And learn some patience, we don't sit around 24/7 just dying to answer questions from newbs.

If a waiver is required, it will be approved by the Army Surgeon General.

Yes, you can get picked up with a waiver. My son had to get a hearing waiver so he also could not get an option 40 in his contract. He did it the old school way and is now a tabbed Ranger. That said, his waiver did not in anyway inhibit his ability to do his job. I would strongly suggest you heed the advice you have already been given.

EasyDay, I was able to get the Option 40 in my contract with a med waiver for a low-level heart murmur. As was mentioned before, I'm sure the type of med waiver is what matters, not just the fact that you have one.
