What is a good plan to get in excellent shape for the APFT?

Post by Alpinestars »

My current info:
Age: 17
Height: 5'6-5'7
Weight: 130-135

Push-ups: 30
Sit-ups: 25
2 Mile: Haven't attempted yet. ( How can I find somewhere that is exactly two miles? )
Pull-ups: 1 (I know it is really bad)

My current scores for push-up, sit-ups and pull-ups are HORRIBLE. I really need a plan that will get me ready to get 100's on every single event by June 2014.

If anyone has some good fitness plans I would love to hear them and I am ready to commit to one. Thank you for reading my post and I hope to hear from someone soon.

You must need glasses too because there are 4 topics above your post that contain stickies (marked by thumb tacks) that are about physical fitness & getting in the best possible shape.

It is your job to read & search this site for your answers - be sure to read all FAQ's & stickies in each forum you visit.

Your high school track is most likely 1/4 mile a round on the inner lane. So, 8 laps.

Even if it's constructed to a metric 400m rather than U.S. standard 440 yards, the difference is inconsequential for your purposes.
