new benefits calculator

Post by Caruthers »

The Iraq Afghanistan Veterans Association (IAVA), has asked us to pass on that they have launched their website New GI Bill.

There is a new benefits calculator to help you figure what your education benefits are. For example the calculator will actually tell you what a veteran will receive under the Post 9/11 (Chapter 33) and Montgomery GI Bill (Chapter 30), not just an approximation. This will help approximately 300,000 veterans, who have not yet signed up for their earned benefits under Chapter 33 or 30, to make smart choices for themselves.

There are many other features such as a:

· Checklist for veterans wanting to get started.

· Information for schools.

· The “GI Bill Wire” (a blog announcing changes, news, and GI Bill advocacy).

This is the product of months of hard work and IAVA wants to make sure that they have it right. If you have any questions or feedback, please contact Patrick Campbell at IAVA.

We do not look upon Veterans as an interruption of our job.

They are the purpose of it.

We are not doing them a favor….they are doing us a favor by letting us assist them!
