Online college courses

Post by allmylife »

Rangers I am deploying soon and looking to do some online school during my down time over there.I have been looking around at the different schools but would like to ask which schools are recommended. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Thanks for the Suggestion Ranger Jim. I probably should go with a bigger school so I do not have to worry if the credits earned will transfer or not.

Ranger Jim right now ROTC is not in my future. Im Looking for a online college at the moment and believe I will try to get into Marion Military Institute. I want to earn a college degree but remain enlisted for the time being.

That technique worked for me. I was a Staff Sergeant, took a lot of night school,, CLEP, and in those days we had what was called the US Armed forces Institute (USAFI). My last tour in Viet-Nam, I earned 18 semester hours in 17 months. I'd take books with me to study when I had time and then challenge the end of course tests. You have my admiration.

Go by your education center and ask to take the College Level Evaluation Program (CLEP) it is a series of tests, normally those taken by freshmen. If you pass the test without any study, you get six hours for each test. If you don't get a passing grade, you at least know what to study.

BTW, college credits are a great way to amass promotion points for E-4 to E-6.
