More LRRP Book titles

Post by Steadfast »

I see the interest in books is up again so I would like to throw additional titles into the ring.

http://www.4thdivrangers.com/2ndbde/books.html

Gary Linderer is from L co 101st LRRP's and co-authored: "Six Silent Men" with two other LRRP's from his group covering the time the 101 was in RVN. Mr. Linderer was back in 1998 editor of magazine called: Behind Enemy Lines. He was at Ranger Rendezvous back in 98 and was nice enough to autograph my copy of above said book. Scroll down to Frank Camper, 4th DIV own LRRP and author. He has on my site listed below as WWW. Given a snapsis of operation by LRRP's on this site www.4thdivrangers.com (my unit).

Good reading all.

Another LRRP site is: www.lrrpranger.org Note: also at bottom of page is Ranger's Creed.

I have most of Linderer's books, people around our detachment was always reading his stuff. Great great books.

Also I recently found via the emule client a couple of cool History Channel videos. If you have the eMule client you can use the following ed2k link to download it:

ed2k://|file|History%20Channel%20-%20Special%20Forces%20-%20LRRPs%20Vietnam.avi|733376512|3499ED8ED790EA1223B9311125358710|/

Or if someone was interested enough I could put it on my ftp (video is 699mb). Pretty good documentary, lots of conversation with old LRRP's.

Another one is a Recondo school documentary but I haven't finished the download it looks like it's never been fully completed either, so I may not be able to grab this video :(

also I have some LRRP/Ranger documentary style eBooks (.pdf format) if anyone would like to check em out, lemme know. I'd be happy to share.

For what it's worth, the cover pic on Michael Lee Lannings book, "Inside the LRRPS", is Team 4, 173rd Abn LRRP (my Team). The pic was taken about 4 days after I left country.
I never wore a cape, but I still have my dog tags.
