Rangers,

Just a quick update. MEPS went well, however I will need to go to a consultation for one of my eyes (same as my brother had). There's a good chance that the consultation will be next week but at the moment I don't have any definite date. I'm unsure how this will effect the ship date on the reserved contract or whether it will be pushed back any further, but we will see in time.

Let us know what you end up finding out. Guessing I will learn a little more when you see my question in the Discord channel.

Rangers,

Once again a quick update. I received a phone call today from the recruiting station informing me that I will be going back to MEPS for my consultation on February 4th-5th.

Rangers,

I've completed my consultation at MEPS. It was determined that I will require a waiver for esotropia in my right eye, as well as a waiver for the implant on my collar bone. My recruiter tried to get the waivers pushed overnight so that I could enlist on the 6th, however they were unsuccessful. At the moment I am awaiting the waivers approval which has been determined to take 3-4 business days but could be longer. The contract I had previously reserved has expired and I will have to go back to the recruiters on Monday to re-reserve a contract. If I'm lucky there is a chance my waivers go through quickly and I return this upcoming week to officially enlist.

Rangers,

I'm excited to say that my waivers were cleared over the weekend and I returned to MEPS on Tuesday and arrived back today. I was successful in getting an 11X contract and officially swore in and enlisted today. My ship date is 20200331. Unfortunately, due to the waivers I am medically unfit to have any option attached to my contract. However, I am still set on volunteering for RASP in OSUT.

Rangers,

Just a quick update with my most recent APFT results.

Total score: 289

Push-ups: 76
Sit-ups: 82
2MR: 13:46

This was my first run after taking two weeks off to let my shin-splints heal. As well as my first time running on a track in a few months. I'm disappointed in my run time, though I know that once I get back into the loop of conditioning I'll have that run time sub 13:00 again. I'm still working on pacing myself in push-ups, as I'm not going to let my brother have 4 push-ups on me before I ship out. As the saying goes "The biggest room is the room for improvement." and I certainly have my work cut out for me.

Rangers,

I received word from my recruiter today that my ship date has been moved from 20200331 to 20200731. Not ideal at all, but it gives me more time to prepare. I'm sure that when my ship date arrives I will be crushing my current numbers.

Rangers,

I've been meaning to update you all on my ship date. I've received confirmation from my recruiters that my ship date is July 21st and not the 31st. Unfortunately due to some issues with them changing the bonus on my paperwork I haven't been able to view an updated version of my contract this entire time. Which is the reason I'm finding out officially so late. But nonetheless the sooner the better. I have high hopes that I will cross paths with others from the site in the future.

Rangers,

I'm currently on the bus to Fort Benning. While at MEPS I found user Sniggle0788. I wanted to say thank you for your time with keeping the site up and running and helping those who seek a future in the military. It's been a long process for me, but I'm glad I can look back and see my progression through the post on this site.
