Not bad. You now have a rucking baseline. Continue to improve and never, never quit!

Roger, Ranger Jim. I plan on rucking one-two times per week. Keeping it at a 15:00 minute or under mile pace.

I am pretty sure once a week would be fine. Rucking overall takes a toll on your body.

Rangers, are there any bonuses I should be aware about before signing an option 40? I want to make sure I get everything I can out of my enlistment. I checked online and all I found were outdated and didn't provide much info. I'm enlisting with a 11x option 40.

Thanks in advance

Rangers, I apologize for not posting recently, there is really no excuse for that. I broke my finger about a month ago surfing, and requires surgery on the 17th of this month. I haven't been able to do anything upper body wise other than work out my core, so I have been improving my running and leg strength while I wait for surgery and recovery. The doctor said it should be close to 2 months before it fully heals after surgery, so no push ups or pull ups for 3 months. I have no doubt in my mind that I will bounce back and improve my pushups and pull ups after recovering.

My recruiter got mad that I broke my finger and decided to not work with me anymore. He told me he was "close" to getting my an option 40 but not too sure how true that is because the whole time he was pushing me to take 11b and try out for Airborne and then RASP while in. I will look for another recruiter who will take it more serious after my surgery. I'll be sure to push out 50+1 after recovering for not posting any of this earlier. Once again I apologize for not posting this earlier.

Ranger Ron, yes Ranger Jim set me on the correct path. Now its up to me to recover smart, and then continue to train and get ready.

Ranger Jim, my apologies for not posting, its hard to type with one hand while on the pain meds they gave me haha. I attempted to post earlier but it was taking me forever to correct my spelling! Surgery went very well, he said I should be fully recovered in about 2 months. So for now I'll continue to workout my legs and improve my running. I'm anxious to get back to push ups and pull ups as those are my favorite (compared to running anyways).

I plan on doing a 2 mile run tomorrow evening for time. I'll report back after with my time. It's been pouring here in South Florida every day the past few weeks, but for some reason I run a lot faster when I see that rain cloud coming in behind me

Rangers, I realize I'm a little late posting my run time from Friday. I ran a 14:12, 2 mile. One thing I noticed is I always feel so worn out/out of breath the first 1/2 mile, but then after that it gets easier. What's your take on elevation masks for improving endurance? I live in South Florida so it's about as flat as it gets here.

I will post my 5 mile tomorrow.
