Is tinnitus a disualifier?

Post by KW Driver »

Pass your hearing test and you should be good I would think. never heard of it being a disqualifier before. I've got a tinnitus work up in my records but I was in when I got it done in 08.

I picked mine up in Regiment, and there's nothing I've ever been able to do to heal it. That being said, I came back in with tinnitus being one third of my 30% disability rating, and they didn't even bat an eye. You just have to know which frequencies it tends to mask during your hearing test, and concentrate on hitting those. They only care about what you actually are able to hear, not if you have a ringing in your head the rest of the time.
