Rangers,

My company turns blue tomorrow and graduates on Friday. From what we've been told only a few guys will be put in hold, the rest will be going straight to school. So I should be beginning school on Monday. That's it for now. Hopefully I'll have an update next weekend on how ground week went.

Graduted today with tex and plinker. Me and plinker start airborne monday. Somehow tex's orders changed and he's now stuck in hold. Hopefully we'll still meet up in RASP.

That was my first taste of the big green weenie... but I'm sitting in a hotel room with my lady and another opt 40 buddy in my shoes. Don't no why I was one of the lucky ones to get hold but I'm staying positive about it. If anything I see this as a chance to transition into the real army and PT. My buddy in 3rd bat got sent to javelin school after basic so I really can't complain. Thanks for everything Rangers, I just picked up an iPhone so my sitreps might be more consistent.

Just do some PT. I was on hold before basic after basic before 11C school and after the same for airborne and RIP except I wasn't on hold after RIP. Don't be impatient and do something dumb. And what else do you have to do for the next 4 or so years

Finished airborne processing. They handed out Ranger volunteer forms to anyone who wanted one, so about 10 guys volunteered. I thought they were going to be much more stringent but they definitely weren't. I don't know if that's how it always is or if that is just that liaison, but I was surprised.

Ace,

When your selection process has a 66-75% washout rate you have to cast your net pretty wide. At the end of the day no one can predict with a certainty who's going to make it and who isn't from a 1hr exposure at a briefing.

If I am correct in my drunken rage right now, you are laughing at something I said.

We had a butt load of guys do that. I was laughing but I wasn't even smiling you couldn't even tell. I will probably be on Benning for the rest of my life though.

I stepped out of line Ranger VIPER--00 and Ranger Richard Cranium. Your Ranger buddies squared me away at Cole Range this week. I have a lot more respect for the men on this site now.
