I served 4 and a half years in the Australian Infantry, with 1 deployment to Afghanistan under my belt, I discharged January this year to start my transition from Australia to America in which I plan to enlist into the Army and chase my goal of becoming apart of the 75th Ranger Regiment.
Welcome here Steven.
During my time in Vietnam our LRRP Platoon was based on Australian training methods & we were permitted to wear "in the rear", the Australian Bush hat (in stead of our steel pots) with left side up & strap behind head. I wore my Australian Bush hat with pride whenever in from field.
Steven, thank you for your service to your country - Australia (in my eyes) has always been a good ally in modern times.
