INTRODUCTION

Post by Throwawayforjustice »

Hello Rangers, Fellow 11B here. Served with 3rd ID then Under 10th MTN and 82ND OEF 06-07

I presently work in Hollywood. I met someone that claims to be a Marine then Ranger and uses that as a advantage in gaining work here in the film industry. I do not believe he is a Ranger due to his unprofessional demeanor and tone with me. Yet he may at one point have served in a Batt but in a different capacity. I have no access to him or his records. Just trying to find out if there are any of you old school guys that may know him and are able to confirm his tab. He most likely served in the early 90s from the info on his website. http://www.robertburtontheactor.com/resume/resume.htm

If I am wrong, I will be buying the beer next time we meet.

Thanks

What do you do in Hollywood? I was a tech advisor and armorer in Vancouver BC for Stargate, Smallville, BSG and some other stuff for a year.

Met an assload of Posers, even worked for one that was outed by this board.

Well with those eyebrows, his ability to jump rope and play hacky sack as his listed "athletic" abilities I'd say he was definitely in 1st Batt.

I worked with a bunch of AD's wrangling SAE (Special Ability Extras) and a ton of Second Unit Crew.

What's your COA if he doesn't pass vetting? My experience with Hollywood is no one will give a shit if he's lying about his service.
