Introduction

Hello to all!

Full disclosure: I am Ranger Qualified but not a Ranger, just to be fair. Graduated from Ranger Class 006 of 2010, but have never served in a Ranger unit. Infantry Officer with one deployment to Afghanistan. Served as Rifle PL, HEavy Weapons PL, and Company XO in 2nd BN, 4th IN, 4th BDE, 10th Mountain Division. Polk was a good post but Leesville and Derrider were terrible.
Currently at Benning, doing the MCCC-W, which is the MCCC but translated into Spanish and run through WHINSEC. Great opportunity to get to work with some interesting Foreign Officers with a wide range of operational experience, but the level of instruction is watered down in comparison with over at the MCoE, no doubt. I guess there is an opportunity cost to everything!

Anyway, I tired out for a position following the career course at RTB. Took the RPFT today and then went to a board with the BDE Commander, the BN Commanders and the DCO. Pretty cool deal. Long story short I got hired and so, tentatively, I am slotted to go to Florida at the end of September.

I am sure there are a lot of people here with experience and I was mostly hoping to chat with someone about the work cycle as a PTT and the housing situation at Camp Rudder/Eglin AFB/Fort Whalton.
