RngrDoc75, Do you still monitor this site?

I am a former Ranger 85-89, and retired out of C/3/10 SFG(A) in 2008.

My son is currently in basic training with follow on AIT as a 68W.

He will be attending RASP after AIT and Airborne.

He asked me what training he will go through prior to being assigned to a Bn.

Your post was dated 2007; do they still attend the SOCM course prior to being assigned to a BN.

Welcome Titus. Regarding your son, eventually he will get airborne, RASP, then SOCOM training, and then to a Bn. However, there are exceptions, so if they change his sequence of training, don't be shocked.
