Can I bring anything not on the RASP packinglist?

Post by JamesGarafalo »

I'm trying to figure out where to keep my personal bag and everything I've had and gathered since OSUT. I want to bring the bare minimum with me. I bought everything on the packing list and don't own anything in the prohibited items list. I figure it would be a good idea to bring somethings not on the list like my ocp backpack, 550 cord, a headlamp, and a few personal hygiene items like foot powder, but I don't want any reason to be messed with. Any advice on this is appreciated.

Put everything NOT on the packing list separate and apart.

And you had best make sure that everything (And I mean everything, nothing more, nothing less) the packing list specifies is there.

A technique I used in both OCS and Ranger was to store all my excess gear in my VW. Never, never quit!
