A better 550 cord?

Post by cams »

Is it possible to make 550 cord more useful than it already is?

A new line of cord has incorporated 8lb test mono fishing line right in with the other usual 7 strands of filler line.

That's actually pretty cool. How much harder is it to cut and melt, I wonder?

I had those thoughts as well. I think a good sharp pocket knife will still make easy work of it, 8lb test mono is not that thick, but it is useful.
