Another important feature to keep in mind is where you're running and walking: pavement and sidewalks!
You will be standing and stomping on cement or pavement or hallways most of your time. You need the soles that'll help your feet last all shift, good impact resistance/absorption. Your feet will take a heckuva pounding and your dogs'll be barking - get good socks too.
