Yep I kinda figured it would be hard to swing that school as a Supply guy. although I heard it is possible but very hard to get. Any one know how or what job I need to take to get there?

Well a current Halo/scuba physical is always nice to have. Some times folks get slotted to go then cant and the schools NCO are looking for anyone to fill a slot.

Maybe as a Loggie in another unit?

Since everyone says it won't happen in Bn.

I seem to recall hearing something years ago about how getting tabbed could qualify you to switch MOS to 11x without having to go through AIT. You could always switch to a line platoon if this is the case.

Also, do the Batts/Regiment still run their own schools every now and then? I seem to recall Pathfinder,Halo, Demolition and Sniper courses being put together at the unit level. Is this a possibility?

You could always try to get a walk on slot. It's a shot in the dark. In my MFF class, we had two standby's get on (both were SF guys from Bragg). If you want the POC for stand by's let me know. You have to be persistant about it and call every MFF class to be put on stand by.

Yes that is true. Once tabbed, no matter what your MOS, you have an 11X secondary. I had a friend at Bragg that went to RS as a 12B, got back, called Rgt and got transfered from Bragg to 1/75 as an 11B. Fairly simple.

My Primary was 11C, my secondary was 19E (from the Guard), and when I graduated from school I turned in the paperwork and had 11B added as an alternate. This was back in '89 though. Things might have changed by now, Idunno'!!

Actually after watching the open house jump this would be a more accurate statement "HALO is for guys who don't like landing on their feet or the drop zone"
