Introduction - Kyle20

Post by Kyle20 »

Rangers,

I am Kyle, 24 and just completed a two year Masters Degree at Bradley University.

I have been a member of the United States Master Swimmers Club team for four years as a freestyle and backstroke sprinter. I have also been waiting tables, washing windows, and cleaning dog kennels to bring in money while in school. I will be the first in my family to go into the military and am very grateful for this resource.

Self administered APFT:
PU:78
SU:106
2Mile:13:02

Pullups:23
Chinups:20

I leave for BCT: 12 Mar 13, and I am an 11x/Airborne/Option 40.

Thank you for you time and service Rangers,

Kyle

Welcome, Kyle. Excellent introduction. I see you have beem lurking here for a while. Good input. Where do you live, and why do you want to be a Ranger?

Ranger Jim,

Currently I live in Peoria, Illinois. I apologize for the lurking, I have been trying to answer as many of my questions as possible before opening my mouth, and it is fairly easy to do with all the information that has been provided, so again thank you.

It’s the high morale standards, expectations, and missions that made me want to become a Ranger. I want to be part of the force that makes the evil in this world accountable, and be part of the force that protects my family and our home. It’s a sacrifice that I want to make, to be part of the best and be apart of something much bigger than myself especially the brotherhood. That’s the simplest I can put it, its just a drive that I need and want to pursue.

I look forward to the challenges in my future and pushing myself alongside men with the similar mindset and goals.

A great intro, and an even better response to Ranger Jim's inquiry. It is good to note you have literally taken shit jobs to earn your way. You have obviously been reading the advice given to other aspirants.
We will expect much from you, as we do of all who make the attempt.
Eliminate "quit" from your vocabulary and keep us posted on your progress.
