Intro- Logan

Post by logan1995 »

Hello Rangers,
My name is Logan, and I am 17 years old. I currently live in Apex, North Carolina, or about an hour from Fort Bragg, where my father works. I wanted to join this website because I want to serve in the regiment one day hopefully, and earn a Ranger tab. My father was also a Ranger for around 10 years, where he served in 1/75, 2/75 and the 75th Ranger Regiment. I hope to one day follow in the footsteps of my father. I have taken it upon myself to administer a PT test tomorrow morning, and will post the results later that afternoon, as I see that most newcomers are tasked with it. Hopefully I can hear back from a few of you Rangers, as I have a couple questions.

My self administered PT test is as follows:

Sit ups: 70
Push ups: 40
2- Mile Run: 17:32
Pull ups: 8

I know these results aren't what the Ranger's are looking for, but I intend to continue running and working on my upper body strength every day.

Welcome, Logan, If you want to earn a place in the 75th Ranger Regiment, you came to the right site. We take pride in the fine young men who pass through armyranger.com on their life journey. Most of the questions you might raise have been addressed at least once. The search feature located at the top right of this page is your friend. Please tell us more about yourself; what made you decide to become a Ranger? While there is plenty of room for improvement, at least you have a PT baseline. Never, never quit!

Ranger Jim,
What made me want to become a Ranger is the Ranger's commitment to excellence in everything. Rangers are expected to perform at a higher level than their peers, and I wanted to become something larger than I am. I want to live the Ranger creed, as I have grown up around the Ranger lifestyle.
