You have that kind of cash wrapped up in a rifle and glass and you are skimping on mounting your optic....

What I am saying is that you have a fine set up there and dropping 50-75 dollars to have your glass mounted is well worth it in my opinion. I am no gun smith but I have had a rifle and glass mounted before. Unless you have the proper levels and guides you are not going to be happy with the rifles performance. To buy all of the proper equipment, it will cost more cash then having a smith mount it up. Take it for what it is, there is much more to mounting an optic than slapping it on there and tightening things down.

Right. It's not a CQB type weapon where if the Halo/Red Dot fails you hit the flip switch, pocket your sight and go to iron. You're talkin about precision accuracy shooting equipment.

Reminds me of the illegals around here that buy a brand new car and put $2.00 flame stickers from AutoZone on the sides.

Spend a couple bucks and do it right the first time. It will be cheaper in the long run, than paying for a replacement.
